When actress Susan Ker Weld changed her name to Tuesday, she opened up a whole calendar of possibilities. This was decades before the arrival of Sunday Rose Urban and years before Wednesday Addams made midweek a possibility.

Meaning "Tiw's day", "Tui's day", or "Tyr's day", the name honors both an Indo-European sky god (equivalent to Zeus perhaps) or the Norse God of combat, justice, and law. More figuratively, it could mean "shining day" or "sky day" from the meaning of Tiu and Tyr

Tuesday has a very quiet heyday back in the 60s when Tuesday Weld was on screen and "Ruby Tuesday" and "Tuesday afternoon" had entered the charts. In a recent count however, just 8 girls were give the name.

Fenton is the kind of surname name that's starting to sound almost like a normal first name these days. While it made a brief appearance on the Top 1000 in the late 1800s, today it's distinctive but in step with the times. And Fen as a nickname is undeniably cute -- a Ben of the future.

For 007 fans, a great middle name choice -- or even a first, Bond fits into the trend of one-syllable surname-style names like Banks, Brooks, Boone, Beck, and Briggs. As an English surname, it comes from Bóandi, a Norse name meaning "peasant, farmer".

Bond could also be viewed as a word name, referring to a connection between people, whether that's based on feelings, interests, beliefs, or blood. More broadly, it denotes the joining together of two different things, a solemn promise, or an official financial agreement on repaying money. As such, Bond may appeal to fans of Truce, Trust, and Teller.

Ten boys were given the name in a recent year.

It could equally work as a nickname for a Ruben, Rudy, or a Rupert.

Peach is one of those names that, a generation ago, would have been placed in the wacky celebrity baby name category. But now with the proliferation of word, nature, and yes, food names, Peach sounds adorably baby-ready.

Peach

The field of nature names is constantly expanding to include all species of flowers and trees and animals and birds and even fish. In addition to its appeal for anglers, Pike recalls Zebulon Pike, the explorer who discovered and gave his name to Pike's Peak.
While Pike also shares the friendly feel of names like Mike and Ike, the word pike can also be a noun or verb referring to a long sharp weapon used to do not-very-friendly things to people. It is also one syllable away from a slur against Traveller people heard in the UK, so maybe this is one to avoid.

Pike

Bunny may be adorable, but is it really enough of a name for your daughter? Plus if Buffy is fluffy, what would that make Bunny?

Still, Bunny as a baby name is in the spotlight since Bryan Adams named his little girl Mirabella Bunny. It makes an old school Waspy nickname for any name that starts with B.

Deriving from an old English surname or from the alder tree, whose wood is used to make electric guitars, Alder can mean "old" if considered a variation on the Germanic alter or "red, brown" when you follow the root of the tree name. Sometimes said to symbolise regeneration, resurrection, and life thanks to the ability of the alder tree to regrow quickly, thrive in inhospitable land, and bleed red sap, Alder is a name on the rise. Predominantly used for boys, it has been given to a small handful of girls too, thanks to its nature connection and its similarity in style or sound to the likes of Willow, Parker and Alma.
