Zodiac names

This is just a bunch of names based on some of the zodiac signs and planets, specifically the ones in my birth chart and the ones I like.
  1. Aries
    • Origin:

      Latin
    • Meaning:

      "a ram"
    • Description:

Better than Capricorn or Cancer, not as usable as Leo, the name of the Roman god of war becomes more possible as a baby name every day, as mythological names take the place of biblical names.
  2. Pippi
    • Origin:

      Norse variation of Philippa
    • Meaning:

      "lover of horses"
    • Description:

Pippi may be cute but isn't very practical. In addition to being forever Pippi Longstocking, there is that variant pee-pee spelling to consider. Try Pippa instead.
  3. Comet
    • Origin:

      Word name, English from Latin
    • Meaning:

      "comet"
    • Description:

Soaring astral name has a great gender-free feel. It also has a pleasing christmas connotation, courtesy of the reindeer listed in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  4. Shade
    • Origin:

      English word name
    • Description:

Nice sound, but double meaning -- shady glen or shady character.

  7. Mystery
    • Origin:

      Word name
    • Description:

Pretty sound, provocative meaning, but a little over-the-top.
  8. Meribah
    • Origin:

      Biblical place name, Hebrew
    • Meaning:

      "quarreling"
    • Description:

Though this Biblical place name is found among early American settlers, usually as a male name, today it sounds completely feminine. As a place name, its gender is mutable in any case. An unusual and intriguing Biblical option, albeit one with an unhappy meaning.
