Just an assortment of names I have collected over the years that hopefully in the future I will be able to pull from when I have my own bundle of joy. Some of the names are just for fun and because I like how they sound, I wouldn't actually name my child that. For example: Alucard, Dracula spelled backwards, while fun it is much more suited for a pets name. I believe in saving the quirky and funky word names for a middle name or for your pets but never a first name. 

With historical roots as a beautiful and intelligent ancient queen and literary ties to Hawthorne and Edith Wharton novels, this rarity could appeal to adventurous parents seeking the romantically unusual. Tina Fey used it as her daughter Alice's middle name.
 Zenobia was the intriguing third-century Queen of Palmyra who for a time ruled the eastern Roman Empire, Ethan Frome's wife Zeena was born Zenobia, and Zenobia Moodie was one of the most colorful characters in Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Blithedale Romance.
 Zenobia reached a high of Number 683 in 1909 but had dropped back out of the Top 1000 by the mid-1920s.

Ilana is a name with seemingly endless variations, well used in Israel, sometimes chosen for little girls born on the holiday of TuB'Shevat, the New Year of the Trees. 

While some sources say Ilana is a variation of the Greek Helen, meaning torch or shining light, or the multicultural Alana, this is not accurate. The similar Elena is related to Helen, while Alana can be a spelling variation of Ilana, not vice versa.
