Teela

Teela is a feminine name with diverse origins. Some sources link it to the Germanic name Thila, meaning 'mighty' or 'strong,' while others suggest it may be a variant of Tila or a shortened form of names like Matilda. The name gained notable recognition through the character Teela in the 'Masters of the Universe' franchise (He-Man), where she appears as a strong warrior and captain of the royal guard. This pop culture connection helped boost the name's visibility in the 1980s. Though never extremely common, Teela has a melodic quality with its flowing sounds and offers a balance between uniqueness and pronounceability. The name carries associations of strength, determination, and independence.
