Sumarlina

Sunny, sophisticated, and bright, Sumarlina is a rare Icelandic name with several possible meanings. On one hand, it could be a feminine form of Sumarliði (anglicized as Somerled), an Old Norse name meaning "summer traveller".

On the other, it my be comprised of the Old Norse element sumar meaning "summer" combined with either: lin meaning "linen or flax"; hlín meaning "protection" or "woman", or Lina which can mean "pretty", "beautiful", "flax" or "soft", which gives you a number of meanings to play about with.

The traditional Icelandic spelling would be Sumarlína.
