Stannes

Stannes is an uncommon masculine name that may have originated as a variant spelling of Stannis, or possibly as a derivative of Stanley. It could also be connected to place names or surnames related to Saint Anne or Saint Agnes. The name has a strong, distinctive sound with its combination of sharp consonants and clear ending. Stannes remains quite rare in contemporary usage, making it an unusual choice that stands out while still having a somewhat familiar ring through its potential connections to more common names. Its obscurity means there are few famous bearers, giving parents the opportunity to define the name's associations through their child. The name carries a certain gravitas and traditional feel despite its uncommon status.
