Solmaz

Succinct but impactful, Solmaz was a Top 100 choice in Azerbaijan back in the 2010s and it's easy to see why. Derived from the Turkish root sol, blending with a negative suffix, it has the resiliant and slightly magical meaning of "unfading" and "unwilting".

Pronounced as sol-MAZ in Turkish and sol-MAWZ in Persian, notable bearers include poet Solmaz Sharif, content creator and activist Solmaz Hoomanzadeh, and dancer Solmaz Çiros.
