About Oumar
Oumar is a masculine name primarily used in West African countries, particularly in Mali, Senegal, and Guinea. It is a variant of the Arabic name Omar (or Umar), which was the name of the second caliph of Islam. The name carries the meaning of 'flourishing' or 'long-lived' in its Arabic origins. Oumar has maintained steady popularity in francophone West African nations, reflecting the blend of Islamic influence and local cultural traditions.
