Kensli

Kensli is a feminine name of modern American origin, likely created as a unique variation of names like Kensley or a feminine form of Ken/Kenneth, which means 'handsome' or 'born of fire' in Scottish Gaelic. This contemporary name gained some recognition after musician Chance the Rapper chose it for his daughter in 2015. Kensli has a bright, youthful sound with its ending 'i' creating a playful, feminine touch. While still relatively uncommon, its usage has increased slightly in the 2010s, particularly in the United States. The name bridges traditional elements with modern styling, appealing to parents seeking something distinctive yet accessible with its familiar sounds.

Pronounced KEN-slee.

As of October 2026, Kensli ranked #8107 for girls in US births in 2025 SSA, peaked at #2799 for girls in 2020.
