Just makes me think of the Count on Sesame Street: "One ahaha, two ahaha, three ahaha!" I'd say this barely qualifies as a cat name.

No, sorry, but just no. Please don't name your child this.

Use Marchesa (mar-kay-sa) rather, a prettier more obscure nobility title. This is just ugly.

Why name your kid countess - or duchess or anything like that? there are plenty of beautiful names with serious meanings and some tradition behind it - like Regina for instance - it means the queen, and for me it feels just right, without making it so obvious, right? could you imagine your daughter called by her friends in high school: "hey, Countess! fancy going to the mall after school or something?" that, no offence to anyone, but that just sounds ridiculous.

If you're going to name you're kid after an echelon of society, at least make it a damn classy one. Duchess, maybe (for a dog), Reina, Queenie, etc, fine. But Countess? They weren't even cool enough to wear purple!

While I don't support royals etc in any way and dislike rules in some countries banning you from naming your kid Lady or King, I think if you don't have a title, it is a little ridiculous.

Not many names get a belly laugh, but this one qualifies!
