Torchy

This stormy name comes from the Old Norse elements, Þórr and nýr, giving it the meaning "new thunder" or "new Thor". Strong yet playful, it's a rare choice that may appeal to those looking for a name that's connected to nature, has a mythological connection, or has a similar sound or feel to the likes of Tori, Toni, Stormi, or Tierney.

The name may remind people of the words tawny ("yellow-orange-brown color"), thorny ("spiky, full of thorns, difficult"), and tourney ("tournament"), which may be a good or a bad thing, depending on your perspective.
