A name with evocative imagery, Mrignayani combines the Sanskrit elements mriga meaning "deer" with nayani meaning "eyes" to create a name which can be inteperated as "one with eyes like a deer" or "one with eyes as beautiful as a deer or gazelle".

Within Hindu tradition, deer are associated with nature's interconnectedness and appear in the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, adding extra significance to the name.

Also appearing as Mrignaini, the name has featured in a 2023 song by singer Karun and in the name of a government-owned fashion store in India which sells traditional crafts and clothes. Notably borne by the 11th century noblewoman, novelist, and poet, Murasaki Shikibu, author of the Japanese classic, The Tales of the Genji, Murasaki is an incredibly rare choice as a given name. Literally, it may be interpreted as meaning "cluster of blooms", though it is used to refer to the purple gromwell flower, and to a purple, violet dye made from the plant.

Murielia is an elaborate feminine name that likely developed as an ornate extension of Muriel, which has Celtic origins meaning 'sea bright' or 'shining sea.' This elongated form adds a romantic, flowing quality to the more concise original. The name carries an antique, almost medieval charm that evokes images of fairy tales and fantasy literature. While extremely rare in contemporary usage, Murielia might appeal to parents seeking a distinctive name with historical resonance and feminine elegance. The name offers several nickname possibilities including Muri, Ella, or Lia. Its musicality comes from the rolling vowels and liquid consonants, creating a name that sounds both ethereal and dignified. Murielia remains a highly uncommon choice that stands out for its ornate beauty.

A literary name, Musidora first appeared in its masculine form, Musidorus, in a poem by 16th poet Phillip Sidney. Meaning "gift of the Muses", it could relate to the Muses of mythology who presided over the arts, to a person or other personified force that inspires an artist, or to music and songs.

Scottish poet James Thompson borrowed from Sidney and created this feminine form, Musidora, for his 18th century poem, The Seasons. Nearly two centuries later, French actress and film director used Musidora as her stage name.

Rarely used as a given name, Musidora could nevertheless fit in with poetic choices like Belphoebe. Alouette, and Isadora.
