Fonz

Fonz is a masculine name that gained recognition primarily through the character Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli from the popular American TV show 'Happy Days' that aired in the 1970s and 1980s. As a standalone name, Fonz is quite rare and often serves as a nickname for Alfonso or Alphonse, names with Germanic origins meaning 'noble' and 'ready.' Fonz carries connotations of coolness, charisma, and an easygoing attitude due to its association with the iconic leather-jacketed character. The name has a distinctive sound and brevity that makes it memorable. Though uncommon as a given name, Fonz offers a retro charm that might appeal to parents looking for something short, punchy, and with built-in cultural cachet.
