Baby boy??

With international flair and elegance, Sebastian is a saintly, Shakespearean and Disney-inspired choice: refined, classic-yet-unconventional, and totally in tune with other popular choices like Theodore, Oliver, and Alexander. Recent data has seen it rank in the Top 20 in the US, while across the globe it sits in the Top 100 in England and Wales, Czechia, The Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Austria, Norway, and Puerto Rico.
Sebastian is derived from the Greek Sebastianos, meaning "from Sebastia", ultimately from sebastos meaning "venerable, pious".. Sebastia was a city in Asia Minor—modern day Sivas, Turkey. Sebastian is a name with a substantial history, first as the third-century martyr whose sufferings were a favorite subject of medieval artists, then as the name of memorable characters in such varied works as Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and The Tempest, Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited, and of course, Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Notably borne by actor Sebastian Stan, several celebs have also chosen the name for their sons, including James Spader, Kim Fields, Malin Akerman and Tommy Hilfiger.

Nicknames could be Seb, Sebby, Baz, Bastian, Bash, and Stan.

Owen, a resonant Celtic name, has ranked among the Top 100 boys' names in the US for 20 years and is now trending ever-so-slightly downhill, good news for Owen-lovers who might rightly have feared the name would climb into the Top 10.

Why do so many parents love Owen? It's a classic with a genuine history, yet it's right in step with the modern trend for two-syllable, n-ending boys' names. Owen-like choices with less tradition behind them include Logan, Bowen, and Rowan.
Owen is derived from two names—the Welsh Owain and the Celtic Eoghan. Each are connected to Eugene, which ultimately came from the Greek word eugenes, comprised of the elements eu, meaning good, and genes, "born."

Owen became a Welsh patronymic surname during the Renaissance. The legendary St. Owen was a Benedictine monk who was a follower of St. Chad.

In Ireland, Owen may be spelled Eoin, as in Irish writer Eoin Colfer, and Eoghan. Other similar names include the Scottish Ewan or Euan and the French Ouen.

Owen's popularity now extends beyond English-speaking countries to France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Holden is a classic case of a name that jumped out of a book and onto birth certificates--though it took quite a while. Parents who loved J. D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye are flocking to the name of its hero, Holden Caulfield -- not coincidentally in tune with the Hudson-Hayden-Colton field of names.

(Trivia note: Salinger supposedly came up with the name while looking at a movie poster promoting a film starring William Holden and Joan Caulfield, though other sources say he was named after Salinger's friend Holden Bowler.)

But can Holden's entry into the Top 1000 really be owed to the classic novel? Possibly not, given how frequently it has been challenged, censored, and banned in the classroom. While this may not stop parents today, it was given to no more than 12 American boys a year, right up until the mid-1980s.

Holden's actual introduction into the mainstream likely has more to do with the introduction of the character Holden Snyder to the soap, As the World Turns. Played by Jon Hensley, the character first appeared in 1985 and by 1987, it was in the Top 1000 and on the rise.

Among the celebs who have chosen Holden are Brendan Fraser and Mira Sorvino.
In Australia, only a car-lover would choose this name, which is inextricably linked with the car-brand.
