Xuri

Xuri is a rare feminine name with diverse potential origins. In Basque culture, it relates to 'jori' meaning 'abundant' or 'plentiful,' while some sources suggest Chinese roots where it might mean 'morning sunshine.' The distinctive 'X' beginning gives this short name a contemporary, exotic appeal. Xuri remains exceptionally uncommon in most Western countries, making it an ultrarare choice for parents seeking something truly distinctive. The name's brevity and unusual sound pattern make it memorable, while its cross-cultural possibilities add depth. Despite its rarity, Xuri fits well with modern naming trends that favor short, distinctive names with international flair. The name's uniqueness means a child named Xuri is unlikely to meet others sharing their name.

Pronounced ZOO-ree.
