These days, it may feel almost synonymous with Kendall Jenner, of Kardashian fame and the stats do reflect that. A recent year saw it given to 985 girls compared to 162 boys, meaning it's given to girls 85% of the time. It last ranked in the Top 1000 for boys in 2018.
 
One male Kendall in the spotlight is the character Kendall Roy on TV's Succession, which might make people review it as a unisex possibility.
