Kasiah
Kasiah Origin and Meaning
A little like Cash and Kasey, similar in sound to Cassian, and in the style of Azariah and Josiah, Kasiah was a rising star of 2024, when it was given to nearly 60 boys, compared to just 20 the year prior.
Kasiah could be perceived as a variation of the feminine Keziah, meaning "cinnamon" or as a form of Cassius, meaning "hollow". Alternatively, it could come from the Hebrew "kashah meaning "hard, difficult", possibly blended with the yah element, referring to the Hebrew God. The could lead to interpretations of it as a spiritual name, reflecting finding God after difficulties, for example.
Other sources link it to khesed meaning "loving, kindness", which could then be expanded to "Yahweh/God is loving and kind", though there is also the possibility that it is just a modern invention, created from popular name sounds.
