Sweet and stylish, with a sporty, energetic undertone, Everly is a name that ticks lots of boxes. 
It’s a contemporary choice that doesn’t sound invented; it’s got unisex appeal but still sounds girly; it’s got nickname potential and a popular initial; it’s reminiscent enough of Emily and Evelyn, of Beverley and Ashley, that despite its modern usage, it shouldn’t raise too many eyebrows when you announce it.

Breaking it down into the words “Ever” and “ley” – which means clearing, meadow or woodland – you could stretch it to mean “eternal meadow” or “eternal woods.” 
Part Eva, part Emily, part Avery, Everly was once tied tothe Everly Brothers, a musical duo popular in the 50’s and 60’s. 
Now, however, it is more likely to be associated with Everleigh Labrant, of YouTube fame, and as a celebrity-style choice, with actors Channing and Jenna Tatum, and TV personalities Chad and Erin Paine choosing it for their daughters. 
In fact, Channing and Jenna Tatum’s use of Everly in 2013 propelled it from a rarity to the Top 200. Popular now in Canada and rising in the UK, Everly has been in the US Top 100 since 2017. 
Stylish, contemporary, and familiar, Everly is sparkly but with an edginess to it. One possible drawback to Everly, however, is that while it doesn’t rank as highly as the likes of Olivia or Emma, when you combine all the spelling variations, there are nearly 8000 girls given the name every year in the US.

 And let's not forget the band—Better Than Ezra—along with rising actor Ezra Miller, Vampire Weekend musician Ezra Koenig or the character Ezra Fitz from Pretty Little Liars.
