I really doubt Anniston and Goldie were named after the celebs.
Poor, poor, Petal Blossom Rainbow… I think petal is a sweet name, Blossom even better, Rainbow gag me, but together it’s like you threw three potions into a fairytale book and came out with it.
I really like Everleigh, it’s very pretty!

Kiki Says:
Just to point out that Melanie Chisholm didn’t have a child called Scarlett with Eddie Murphy. Her child is called Scarlett but I don’t remember who her partner is.
Eddie Murphy had a daughter with the other Melanie ex-spice girl, Melanie Brown and I believe their daughter was called Angel Iris.
BTW, I’m so mad at Max becoming so popular among celebrities. I remember thinking of how much I liked that name literally the day before Christina Aguilera used it and now everyone is.
Lark Says:
Celebrity trends aren’t as crazy as people think, sure they sometimes name their kids things no sane person ought to but they aren’t different trends than the rest of the population just a little more on the extreme side. and of course it’s the more grand and pedestal names that are most common (star names imply you and your child are heavenly or out of this world)
Side note: I’m shocked anyone would be surprised about Max I knew it was up and coming more than ten years ago, it’s been slowly gaining momentum for years and years.
Gina Says:
It says on http://www.imdb.com
That Melanie Chisholm (aka Sporty Spice) & her long-time boyfriend Thomas Starr has a girl Scarlet.
Melanie Brown (aka Scary Spice) & Eddie Murphy have a girl Angel Iris.
Andrea Says:
I think Anniston actually was named after Jennifer Anniston, based on the interview I read with the mother. I thought it was a little too obvious and she isn’t a person I’d have picked as a namesake, but whatever.
azulverde Says:
Melanie Chisholm’s partner is Thomas Starr. Starr is their last name, its not Scarlet’s middle name.
Annika Says:
I got to say that I don’t really like Wolf as a name. First of all it seems to literal to me and the other – more important – thing is that it evokes a kind of Hitler-association with me. Did you know he called himself “Wolf” as a nick- or codename? That was the reason he gave his Führer’s Headquarters the name “Wolfsschanze”.
Anyway, I don’t want to suggest by any means that the parents who used it had the same associations and maybe those facts aren’t that well known in the US as they are in Germany?
Cathryn Says:
I love Luna. Yes, I’m a harry Potter fan. But I would only use it as a middle name not as a frst. Max is a normal name.
BN Says:
Unless I’m mistaken, actress Jill Scott had a boy named Jett Hamilton Roberts, not a girl named Lilah Grace. But, I could be wrong…

I’d have my doubts that Ione Skye’s daughter Goldie is named after Goldie Hawn. According to Wikipedia her family is Jewish. I wonder if one of her grandmothers was named Goldie and it’s a family name. A lot of the trends are general trends. Numerous little girls all over the country get Rose or Grace as a middle name; “L” is a popular initial especially in German and French-speaking countries, etc.
