    Suggestions wanted for daughter #3

Hello everyone! This is my 1st post, though I've been reading regularly for the past few months. Our 3rd daughter is due in 4 1/2 weeks & I would love some middle name suggestions. My husband is absolutely no help when it comes to names. :) Please also feel free to give opinions on my names & suggest some I may have overlooked.

    Helena
    Clementine
    Luella
    Mirabel or Maribel
    Rosemary
    Josephine
    Laurel
    Lorelei
    Cordelia

Klara Jewell - These are my grandmothers names. I actually prefer the more traditional spellings of these names, but is it appropriate to change spelling when honoring a family member?

Should probably add that our last name is one syllable.

Hi there! I love your name choices, Lisa, and don't think there's any problem with spelling Klara with a C. (Like you, I prefer it this way.) Nameberry had a blog about this issue, and updating relatives' names was deemed perfectly proper and acceptable.

Helena (Will you be pronouncing it Hel-len-uh, Hel-leen-uh, or Hel-LAY-nuh?)

    Helena Beatrix
    Helena Beatrice
    Helena Catherine
    Helena Clementine
    Helena Charlotte
    Helena Charlotte
    Helena Delphine
    Helena Daphne
    Helena Frances
    Helena Genevieve
    Helena Josephine
    Helena Juliet
    Helena Katherine
    Helena Louise
    Helena Marielle
    Helena Mirabelle
    Helena Rosalie
    Helena Rosaline
    Helena Simone
    Helena Scarlett
    Helena Tamsin
    Helena Violet

    Clementine Annabel
    Clementine Beatrix
    Clementine Charlotte
    Clementine Frances
    Clementine Juliet
    Clementine Louise
    Clementine Laurel
    Clementine Margaret
    Clementine Poppy
    Clementine Rosalie
    Clementine Simone
    Clementine Scarlett

(Clementime really lends itelf to monosyllabic middle names....)

    Luella Beatrix
    Luella Catherine
    Luella Clementine
    Luella Camille
    Luella Caroline
    Luella Daphne
    Luella Delphine
    Luella Frances
    Luella Francesca
    Luella Genevieve
    Luella Josephine
    Luella Marielle
    Luella Mirabelle
    Luella Rosalie
    Luella Scarlett
    Luella Simone
    Luella Tamsin
    Luella Violet

    Mirabel Amelia
    Mirabel Charlotte
    Mirabel Clementine
    Mirabel Camille
    Mirabel Daphne
    Mirabel Esme
    Mirabel Frances
    Mirabel Genevieve
    Mirabel Isadora
    Mirabel Ivy
    Mirabel Josephine
    Mirabel Juliet
    Mirabel Miranda
    Mirabel Rosalie
    Mirabel Rosaline
    Mirabel Simone
    Mirabel Scarlett
    Mirabel Tamsin
    Mirabel Violet

    Rosemary Astrid
    Rosemary Aurelia
    Rosemary Aurora
    Rosemary Beatrice
    Rosemary Camille
    Rosemary Clementine
    Rosemary Cecile
    Rosmary Charlotte
    Rosemary Diana
    Rosemary Delphine
    Rosemary Evangeline
    Rosemary Evelyn
    Rosemary Elisabeth
    Rosemary Frances
    Rosemary Genevra
    Rosemary Helen
    Rosemary Iris
    Rosemary Josephine
    Rosemary Juliet
    Rosemary Louise/Louisa
    Rosemary Luella
    Rosemary Laurel
    Rosemary Scarlett
    Rosemary Simone
    Rosemary Tamsin
    Rosemary Violet

    Josephine
    Laurel
    Lorelei
    Cordelia

I'll leave the other names for someone else, but they do work with most of the suggested ones. You have so many lovely names from which to choose! :-) Best wishes to you!

Hi Jill! You've certainly offered some pretty names to contemplate. A few are on my list, Charlotte, Ivy, Juliet, & Louise... my mother's middle name, but most I hadn't thought of.

I prefer the pronunciation Hel-LAY-nuh for Helena. At the moment Helena, Luella, Clementine, Laurel, & Clara are on my short list, though we won't decide until we meet her. I'll look for the blog entry about updating family names. Think I read this, but I've read so many posts I can't be sure.

Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you Susan! My husband & I have considered the name for our two daughters, but for whatever reason chose other names. We'll have to wait a few more weeks to see if the name suits her. : )
