    Getting to Hal

I really like the nn Hal but I don't like the full name Harold. What other names could have the nn Hal?

What do you think of Halloran?

I always associate Hal with Henry, plus you have the Shakespearean link with Henry V being called Prince Hal. I love both Henry and Hal, much fresher than the overused Harry.

My first thought would be Hadley.

Hal is an established nickname for Henry, which seems like your taste. Absalom? That might be stretching it too much. Maybe Halcyon or Marshall? I like Halloran. I've never heard it before, but it's intriguing.

Halloran is nice, I've never heard it before. It could work.

Here's how I'd get to Hal: Hallam, Hamilton, Hanley, Halden, Halbert, Halston, Harlen, Hannibal.
    Girls:
Coraline, November, Lavinia, Elodie, Dorothy, Sybil, Rose, Evelyn, Helena, Ingrid, Margaret, Freya, Lavender, Daphne, Anaïs
