    Why not the Italian homonym, Annalisa? It's literally the same name but in Italian. Plus, Anneliese is technically a smoosh name, so smooshing Anna and Lisa is the same exact thing. There's no reason to keep it in German when you have a perfectly phonetic, legitimate alternate form.

    Someone else suggested Analisa to me but the first four letters spell out a not so pleasant word that I can't help but seeing when I look it it. I do think it would be the most clear though. Does anyone think this is a problem? (a n a l)

    It's two ns- ANNALisa, so it's close, but the actual word isn't there. But the teasing potential is there even if you spell it Anneliese, it's just one of the drawbacks of the name.
