Father’s Day Names: Mabel, Maple and Maxine
Amelie Belle
Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh picked a delicate French import for his daughter. We’re seeing that as Emily loses its luster, the lovely Gallic Amelie, brought into view via the romantic eponymous 2001 film, is beginning to widen its appeal. Belle is a popular middle name adding a note of southern charm to any name.

Bastien is the name we have picked for our son due beginning of September. We’ve loved the name for years and now we’re going to be heading down the path of celebrity territory (which I hate). I like the name too much to avoid it now but it’s still not the nicest timing for a fussy namer such as me!
Maple Sylvie is an awfully sweet name.

That pic of Bruce Willis is so incredibly endearing. Very cute babies and (mostly) very cute names.

I really like some of these namdes (Adeline, Amelie) and most of them are fine, but I really don’t like Arlo on a girl at all.

Idk why it bugs us when names we’ve loved like FOREVAH become popular. I’ve loved Bastian since I was a kid and everybody always told me it was weird. Now it’s going all starbaby. However, while all my “odd” faves of old like Zosia, Winter, and Freya may be getting some use now, odds are they’re never going to get as worn-out as Jessica, Emily, or Isabella. I am, however, a little worried about Luna. It’s climbin’ them charts…

You know I don’t like Sebastian, I find it pretentious, but I’m beginning to warm to Bastian on its own.
