About Zuriel
Zuriel is a name of Hebrew origin with deep biblical roots, though traditionally used for males before emerging as a feminine option. It means "God is my rock" or "my strength is God," derived from "zur" (rock) and "el" (God). In the Bible, Zuriel appears as a Levite chief in the Book of Numbers. As a female name, it represents the modern trend of adopting traditionally masculine or biblical names for girls. Zuriel offers parents a rare name with spiritual significance and a powerful meaning. The distinctive 'Z' beginning gives it a contemporary edge while maintaining its ancient heritage. Though uncommon in mainstream usage, Zuriel has seen increasing interest among parents seeking unique names with substantive religious connections and strong consonant sounds.
