Re: Baby name anxiety - We are getting close!

Don't worry! You'll find the perfect name for your baby! :-) I love so many of the suggestions you've been given, especially Emmeline, with gives you the Em from Emery, as well as a classic/vintage name. You could always stick Emery in the middle if you're uncomfortable using it up front.

    Some more:

    Amelia/Emilia
    Alice
    Annabel(le)
    Beatrice/Beatrix
    Celia/Cecilia
    Clara
    Eleanor
    Eve
    Felicity
    Frances
    Genevieve (nn Evie)
    Georgia
    Helen(a)
    Hope
    Iris
    Ivy
    Juliet
    Josephine
    Louisa
    Lydia
    Miranda
    Nell
    Olive
    Phoebe
    Penelope (nn Nell or Poppy)
    Susannah
    Tess
    Willa

    Good luck! :-)

Emery was a family name for us too! We just had a little girl Emery Jane. I know I am completely biased but paired with Jane I think it gives it a more traditional feel. Just my two cents! Oh and we have had many the compliment on her name!

    Emery Rosalind
    Emery Josephine
    Emery Elizabeth
    Emery Beatrice
    Emery Eleanor
    Emery Frances
    Emery Louise
    Emery Mirabelle
    Emery Lillian
    Emery Camille

Thank you all so much for the suggestions. I love Claire and Sadie. Sarah is a family name... but does Sadie sound too much like a dog's name? It's also a little on the cutsey side. Claire has the classic feel I like. Thank you, ladies. You all have such great ideas!

What do you think about Maeve or Violet?

Also, with the name Emery, honestly, will it prohibit us from being able to use a Claire or something more classic in the future? I can take the heat, I just want to know other's perceptions.

Naming is tough because I'm not only thinking about her name, I'm thinking about how her name will go with her future siblings (if we are so lucky).

    Please keep it coming!

Oh Jill, I forgot to mention that I really like Georgia too.

Zard, Congrats on baby Emery Jane! That does sound very pretty together. Tell me, other than it being a family name, what were the other reasons you picked it and what other names were you considering?

    Thanks again, ladies!
