Names you love but with nicknames you hate?

I love the name Ernest/Earnest but STRONGLY dislike the inevitable "Ernie" nickname.

What are some names you like but just can't get yourself to use because of the nicknames?

Haha, I love Ernie for Ernest

The only ones I hate are Maddie for Madeline/Madeleine, and Andy/Drew for Andrew.

I agree with lawsonhaley, I also dislike Maddie as a nn for Madeleine.

I also don't like Amy for Amelia and Eve for Evelyn.

I have a huge list! And I'm the opposite with Amelia nn Amy (Doctor Who! ), but I agree with Andrew nn Andy/Drew. I don't usually let nns bother me, especially if there are alternatives. But some where I really hate the nns are:

    Edmund nn Eddie/Ed
    Nathaniel nn Nathan/Nate
    Sebastian nn Seb
August nn Gus (In general, I can't stand the 'gus' sound, which is why I dislike Augustus (despite TFIOS) /Augusta, where it seems to be emphasised)
    Benedict/Benjamin nn Ben
    Florence nn Flo (Just eww...)
    Constance nn Connie
I really seem to dislike nns for boys.
