    Dexter vs. Declan

    I am looking for input on the names Dexter and Declan. We love both of these names and are leaning more towards Declan. However; big brother's name is Nolan. I don't want names that are too similar. Does anyone think Declan and Nolan are too matchy-matchy? Which name do you guys think goes better with Nolan? Please help!

    I prefer Declan as a name, but I think Declan and Nolan are too close, so for you Dexter would be the better option.

    I prefer Declan. I think it goes very well with Nolan — both being Irish and "modern" — without being "too" matchy. Especially if you call him Dec / Decks / Dex.

    I prefer Declan, but I think Dexter and Nolan work better together... Declan and Nolan share -lan, which makes them too similar, imho.
