My favorites

This is just an eclectic list of all the names I like. I really don't discriminate, I love all kinds of names! Some people are more picky when it comes to choosing a name, 2 syllables, 3 syllables, has to start or end with a certain letter etc. Not me, I have no method to my naming madness! My only criteria when naming my children is that it's not on the top 200 list! For my kids I prefer something a little more unique. I like a lot of the trendy names but wouldn't choose one for my kids!
  1. Ada
    • Origin:

      German or Turkish
    • Meaning:

      "noble, nobility, or island"
    • Description:

Ada is one of the classic baby names for girls that is suddenly super stylish again. A favorite at the end of the nineteenth century, Ada is an alternative to the over-popular Ava. Ada is also part of the trend toward simple, old-fashioned names beginning with a vowel, like Ivy and Ella.
  2. Delilah
    • Origin:

      Hebrew or Arabic
    • Meaning:

      "delicate"
    • Description:

Melodic and lively, Delilah has cut itself (mostly) free from its treacherous past to become a contemporary favorite.
  3. Galilee
    • Origin:

      Hebrew
    • Meaning:

      "the province"
    • Description:

Galilee is a highly unusual place name, Galilee being a large region in northern Israel, the home of Jesus during at least thirty years of his life, and also where he cured a blind man. The Sea of Galilee gets its name from the area.
