Namespiration: Names of Hamlets in Cornwall, U.K.

After seeing Heathrow airport and thinking "Heathrow would make a nice name" I started looking up names of Hamlets. Cornwall had so many fun and quirky ones I could see them becoming the new "Hunger Games" contestants or the residents of a mythical land. Or perhaps a baby's name, for the adventurous.
  1. Albaston

      • Amble
        • Brynn
          • Origin:

            Spelling variation of Bryn, Welsh
          • Meaning:

            "hill"
          • Description:

Brynn outshines the original Welsh Bryn in the popularity stakes. This simple, brisk name might be seen as a combination of Bree and Lynn, an androgynous-sounding choice that especially in this spelling is not truly unisex: Brynn, for boys, is not even in the Top 1000.
