According to exclusive Nameberry data, Logan is officially the Number 1 gender-neutral name in the US, but that statistic is somewhat misleading given that nearly 90 percent of the baby Logans born in 2023 were boys.
 
Logan started climbing in the mid-70s and shot up to the Top 5 for boys in 2017. Now, Logan's popularity has settled back down to the boys' Top 50 in the US and the Top 100 in other English-speaking countries.
 The mutant character Wolverine, known as Logan, based on the X-Men comics and played by Hugh Jackman on film, has had a considerable impact on the name. There were also attractive guys named Logan on Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls, though Succession patriarch Logan Roy may have given the name a harder edge.
