Haha! My DD Lydia's NN is Lydie Bitty. Both her older siblings called her Bitty for short which sounds like Biddy.

I have good associations with Biddy, because I have an friend who is on Indian descent and is named Bidi (short for Bidita). She's very ambitious, self-confident, beautiful, and successful, and the name suits her well. I can't imagine her as anything but Bidi.

That said, I wouldn't put Biddy-spelled-Biddy on the birth certificate, considering that it is a slang term. If not Bridget, how about Birgitta? Or Bidita? Or even a last name-y name for girls could work... It's usually not my style, but say...Biden? Bridge? Something...?
