Names along the lines of Gus, Henry, Hazel, Sadie...

I'm expecting for the first time and due this summer! I've been trying to come up with some names I love and I'm hoping you all can help... my husband and I like short sweet names that aren't too common, but not too out there. We like mildly old fashioned names that sound a bit like a nickname, but are still substantial enough to be a first name. Otherwise, we'd like a first name that has very usable nicknames. We tend to like names with a Southern or British feel it seems like (maybe I'm wrong about this - that's just what these names remind me of). A few we like to give you an idea:

Gus - feels a bit short to me, but I'm not really a fan of any of it's longer versions
Henry - too cute, maybe a bit too popular - but hasn't really caught on yet where I live
Hazel - cute also, but may sound a bit too musty?
Sadie - another one I love for it's nicknamey feel, but a close friend just named her baby this :(

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much for your help!

Gus - So cute...doesn't need a long name but August is my favorite of the longer ones.
Henry - LOVE! if it hasn't caught on where you're from, go for it. Even if it has...one thing i've noticed is that boys don't really mind having popular names...girls do.
Hazel - Not musty at all, absolutely Stunning and cute!
Sadie - Sad that your friend named her child this...lets think of some more like it.
