    Nature name for Rowan's sibling.

Hello there! My husband and I love nature names (our son's name is Rowan, a tree, and my name is Linnea, a flower). We'd like to continue the trend with our future children but unfortunately we haven't been able to come up with many other nature names that go well with Rowan and that we both agree on! We would particularly like to find a boy's name that starts with a C.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Hi there! Susan, a Namberry poster, wrote an amzing blog (in the blog section) dedicated to names inspired by national parks, rivers, etc., and it may be helpful to you.

Our DS is a Rowan too. His sister is Maren (which I always thought had obvious pronounciation, but have to often tell people "it's like Karen with a M.") We're trying to come up with a boys name too, though not necessarily nature themed. I am liking Callum, which means dove...

    Boys:
Arthur - means bear man (love it!)
Bruno - means brown, but I think of a bear.
Bernard - bold as a bear
Corbin - raven (I think ravens are cool!)
    Oscar - deer lover
Jasper - a kind of quartz
    Roscoe - deer forest
    Bryce - National Park
    Canyon
    Denali - National Park
    Forest
    Hudson - river
then there are all the Leo names which mean lion: Leo, Leonardo, Lionel. Leopold mean brave people.

    Girls
    Acadia - National Park
    Paloma - dove
    Jemima - dove
    Iris
    Laurel
    Tabitha - gazelle
    Rachel -ewe
    Susannah, Susanna - Lily
    Flora
    Hazel
    Ivy
    Olive
    Brenna - means raven
Phoebe - has something to do with a bird, I think.

    That was fun!

Thank you so much for your responses! I'll have to run your ideas by my husband and see what he thinks! :)
Calla is the name we've chosen for our first girl, whenever she may come along: it was my great grandmother's name and obviously follows the nature trend! I love it!

Calla is so beautiful, Dove, and how lucky you are to have a relative with the name! When I read about your theme, Calla immediately came to mind. It's perfect! :-) I LOVE Rowan and Calla. Callum would be a great male alternative for Calla.

My first thought was Ceder/Cedar, which is another tree name, so I think it pairs wonderfully. I also have a soft spot for that name, as I had a friend with that name. That friend was a girl though...
    I'm Delanie(pronounced sorta like duh-LANE-e), a dog mother to
Memphis Belle of the Ball/Bella(not my name choice!)
    Zosephina Thorn/Zoie(also not my choice)
    Tressa Belle Louise &
    Lillian Juliet/Lilly
