Re: Is Ever to different to be a beautiful name?

You have a lot of posts with the same names, so I thought I'd mention that when you add to a pre-existing thread, everyone will know, as that thread will pop to the top of the list. :-)

I think Ever is different, but whether Ever is too different to be a name is an individual thing. Some may find it too out there, while others may find it interesting or ethereal. It's really an indvidual thing.

I prefer classic and vintage names, while others may prefer trendy names. Personally, while I wouldn't use Ever on my own child, I do think it's pretty. You could always give your baby a classic Eve/Evelyn/Evangeline/Eva/Genevieve name and call her "Evie," or even, as a stretch, "Ever," giving your baby the best of both worlds.

From the list below, Genevieve is my favorite, with Francesca close behind. I think that Honor or Stella would make lovely names, too. Tinsley and Tyler are at the bottom for me, and of the other modern names, I'll vote for Hadley or Cambrie.

    Honor
    Ever
    Tinsley
    Cambrie
    Tyler
    Francesca
    Genevieve
    Hadley
    Stella

    Good luck! :-)

    Honor - so pretty!
Ever - reminds me of Always. Do not like.
Tinsley - do not like. Sorry, I am biased because I usually love classic and vintage names.
Cambrie - I love Camden and Cambria nn Cambrie. I often prefer girls' names to not end in "ie" or "y" unless it's a name like Lucy or Ruby. If a girl grows up to be a judge or something exceedingly serious, it will behoove her to have a formal sounding full name. Then she could have a fun nickname that ends in the "y" sound.
    Tyler - do not like.
Francesca - love! Francie - great nickname.
    Genevieve - love so much!
Hadley - I think of my sister's friend Debbie Hadley.
Stella - very pretty! Love as a nickname for Estelle!

What do you think! My fave is Genevieve nn Eve. Genevieve.
Ever could be a middle name if you love it so very much. I don't really like Genevieve Ever though. Very "V" heavy.

The names I like on your list are:

Ever - I think it sounds very pretty and feminine...Have you considered pairing it with Lily?? I think EverLily is gorgeous!

Honor - very pretty, esp as a middle name for a girl IMO

Genevieve - I like this, but only with a cute nickname like "Vivi" or "Evie"

Stella - I love Stella! - The first thought I have is A Streetcar Named Desire or Seinfeld, but I still love it!

    Genevieve Honor is beautiful!!!
Stella EverLily is cute (as long as your last name isn't L heavy, like mine: )

Tyler is my maiden name, so, of course, like it. I still wouldn't use it for my daughter, I might consider it as my boy's middle name....but that's just my op.

Honor - I don't really like this name.... It's just my opinion.

Ever - While Ever is an interesting name to consider, I don't think it would be a good name for a child. Note: Cam Gigandet (James in Twilight) named his daughter Everleigh Rae.

Tinsley - Reminds me of tinsel. Never a good thing.

    Cambrie - Eh.

    Tyler - No.

    Francesca - Nope.

Genevieve - When I was a little girl, I LOVED this name.

Hadley - Reminds me of Remy Hadley (13) on House.

    Stella - So pretty!

Honor - Honor is pretty, but I'm not too engaged by it. Honora and all is pretty too.
Ever - I like Ever for a boy. For a girl, though, I'm not sold.
Tinsley - Tinsley is very adorable.
    Cambrie - I don't really like Cambrie.
Tyler - Tyler's dated to me; besides, I do not like it on a girl.
Francesca - Francesca has really grown on me! I love Chessie, Checka, Chessa, Frankie, etc for nicknames.
Genevieve - Genevieve is a very petty name.
    Hadley - I don't like Hadley.
Stella - I prefer Estelle to Stella.

Re: Is Ever to different to be a beautiful name?

For me Ever is a little bit out there for my liking, although I really like the suggestion of EverLily which is adorable.

Honor - Love it, also love Honora
Tinsley - Cute but can't see it aging well
Cambrie - Love but love Cambria nn Cambrie even more
Tyler - Very 90's to me and I have never liked it on a girl. Although the one of the few unisex names I like on a girl is Darcy, WDYT?
Francesca - Love, the nn are cute too, (Francie/Frances/Frankie/Frannie)
Geneveive - My fav from your list, love the nn Evie/Eve/Gen/Genna
Hadley - Ok but quiet trendy IMO
Stella - Love this too, Estelle and Estella are pretty too

I really love Genevieve, Genevieve Estelle would be stunning, or Cambrie Genevieve :)

Re: Is Ever to different to be a beautiful name?

I like Ever but mostly as a nn, especially for a girl as I think it sounds masculine on its own. But still a fine name. How about

    Everly
    Everlyn
Evia - name of a beautiful Greek island
    Everil
    Everlina

The suggestion of Ever Lily is pretty though.
