    BOYS
Kellen: Love the sound of this one; strong, interesting. I prefer Kellan, but that's just me being picky.
Brecken: I don't care for this one; it makes me think of brackish, not a pleasant association. Something about the 'br' and 'k' sounds just isn't working for me.
Tyler: a bit dated for my tastes; I've got a classroom full of 15-year-olds named Tyler.
Shea: Personally I like it, but I don't know that your son would appreciate it.
Garrison: Military macho, which is fine, but it's not a name that particularly appeals to me.
Sheldon: cute, but like Shea, he might not like it as much as we do...

    GIRLS
    Teagan: very pretty with Olivia
Ainsley: uber-trendy in my neck of the woods
Kendall: I love this name. It's pretty, it's simple, and it stands out without being wacky. Of all your choices, this is without doubt my favorite.
Avery: like Ainsley, a little too trendy for my tastes

From all your choices, I personally would opt for Kellan Robert or Kendall Olivia.

Kellen: The potential Kelly nickname makes it too feminine for my tastes, but I do like it for a middle name.

Brecken: I, too, think of brackish, which isn't a good thing.... :-(

Tyler: Tyler is too trendy/dated for my taste, but it's a nice name.

Shea: I've worked with more than one female Sheas, so for me, the name is too feminine.

Garrison: Garrison is favorite of your choices.

Sheldon: I can't see this name on a child, and beause of the potential "Shelly" nickname, I wouldn't use it.

Teagan: I'm not liking Teagan, either. :-(
Ainsley: It's too trendy for my tastes, but it's a very pretty name.
Kendall: It's not my style, and doesn't have Ainsley's pretty sound.
    Avery: See Ainsley...

    BOYS
Kellen - I like this name. Sounds causual and sporty
Brecken - This was one of my faves!
Tyler - Hmm, sorry, a little 80s plus sometimes it is a girls name :(
Shea - It's ok, but you have better :)
Garrison - This is my fave. I think of Garrison Keillor, smart, funny, perfect!
Sheldon - uh I don't think I'm ready for this one

    GIRLS
Teagan - Hmm, not my fave though Teagan Oliva flows well.
Ainsley - I never know how to pronounce this - can anyone enlighten me???
Kendall - This is pretty but sounds more like a boy to me
Avery - This is just so pretty and classic. Sure it may get more popular, but it is a great name imo!

Garrison Robert or Avery Olivia get my votes! Good luck.

    BOYS
KellenKellen Robert is very nice (strong without being macho)
Breckennot a fan, it just makes me think of shampoo :(
Tyleragree with other posts, I know far too many for this to sound fresh
SheaI know two female Sheas, so this is all girl to me personally
GarrisonCute! Also reminds me of Garrison Keillor (a good thing)
    Sheldonseems destined for teasing

    GIRLS
TeaganNot my personal style, but it's unique, which I like. And it goes well with Olivia
AinsleyI prefer Avery myself (or possibly Ansley?)
KendallI like this one quite a bit, though I don't think it works with Olivia as the middle
    AveryLove Avery!

My votes are for Kellen or Garrison, Teagan or Avery. I would only use Kendall with a different middle.

    Good luck and congrats :)

I like Avery best for a girl and Shea and Kellen best for a boy.

I like Kellan spelled like that and Kendall the best. Also I love the name Kendra for a girl as much as Kendall. The spelling Kellan somehow sounds warmer and cozier than Kellen.

Thanks for all the input. If we were having the baby today, we'd probably be going with Kellan (updated spelling). To be fair to my wife, she never like the names Tyler, Shea, or Sheldon - I put those up their on my own accord, so she'll glad they didn't get a lot of love. I'm a little surprised at the support for Garrison, maybe we'll have to give that a harder look...my problem with Garrison is that it sounds like a great adult name, but a terrible baby name. Even as a toddler it sounds okay, but I can't see an infant named Garrison : )

We're so torn on girl names. I like Teagan but hate the fact that it's origin is a male name that is still used for some boys today. I like Avery and Ainsley, but they are uber-trendy right now (we don't need to be that unique, but three Averys in one class is very different than three Emilys or three Katys). I came across a name the other day that I thought was beautiful and also Gaelic (which we like but not a necessity) - that name was Kieran. Then I looked further and realized Kieran was another boy's name that just sounded like a girl's name to me : ( We could always go with Kiera but not so sure I want people thinking we copied Kiera Knightly.

Kiera is very popular and commonplace in Ireland, both with its trendy spelling (Kiera) and traditional (Ciara). Either way I think it's lovely. :)
