    Names to go with Beatrice

We have a girl named Beatrice Elizabeth, but need a list for boy names and girl names along the same line as Beatrice (Restoration, 1920s era-ish) but nothing too popular (or about to be popular, like Vivian or Eleanor). I know that's really specific, but any advice would be great!

I love your daughter's name! :) So beautiful.

Some random thoughts that I think would compliment Beatrice very nicely:

    Clara
Edith - is on my own lists!
    Hazel
    Josephine - my daughter's name
    Agnes
    Viola
    Lucille
    Pauline
    Blanche
    Marian/Marion
    Vera
    Leona/Leonie
    Ada
    Marguerite
    Georgia
Maude/Maud - is on my own list
    Sylvie/Sylvia
    Genevieve
    Lydia
Henrietta/Harriet - is on my list
    Genevra
Cecilia/Cecily - is on my list
Winifred - is on my list
    Miriam
    Veronica
    Augusta
Antoinette - thinking about this one myself!
    Dorothea
    Cornelia
    Maxine
Elvira (el-VEER-ah) - I'm thinking a lot about this one too!
    Dolores
Wilhelmina (looks severe, but so light when said"Willa- mina!)
    Eugenie
    Helen
    Louisa

Anything there? Well, I hope it helps some!

These are all along the lines of what I'm looking for, particularly Louisa, Georgia, Eugenia and Clara. Her middle name would probably be Opal, since it works well in the middle rather than as a first name. Thanks for all of the ideas!

I really like August(en), Dashiell, Theodore and Thaddeus (but don't love the nn Teddy). The last name is Green, so that's really preventing some names since they rhyme, like Imogene Green (my favorite girls name, but too rhyming).

Dashiell Green is fabulous! For girls, I think Louisa Green is cute as a button.

Imogene won't rhyme if you pronounce it the way the Brits do, where the second syllable is more gin than gene. :) Prettier that way too, imo.

Melissa, Imogene is im-oh-gene, at least here in the States, Imogen is the British version, pronounced im-oh-jen/gin. Imogene reminds me of Imogene Coca, Imogen screams Shakespeare! (Okay, showing my snobby seolf in this post, sorry!) :D

Right you are, Lola, which is why I prefer the Brit version. Also, I've never known any Americans with the name, but the way you have it sounds an awful lot like Emma Jean (with the emphasis on awful).

Celeste, yeah, it's one of my faves!

I love the other posters' ideas. Especially Viola.

    Julian
    Adrian
    Theodore
    Albert
    Chester
    Arthur
    Harvey
    Maxfield

My aunt's name was Beatrice. Her second husband was named Leroy. I think Leroy's time will come again, but I would be afraid to use that name. Her brother was named Ross which is a handsome name.
