Do you know of any similar names?

I'm pregnant with my first child and my husband and I have been searching for "the perfect name" for a while now. We're really struggling with boy's names, however, we have two possible girl's names:

    Evie
Thea (pronounced Tay-ah) - I saw this name on the site the other day :)

We like short, sweet names with personality... does anyone know of any similar names (boy's and girl's)?

I love Eve with the nickname Evie, but Evie as a first name isn't substantial enough for me. Thea is beautiful, too, but you're going to encounter a lot of pronunciation and spelling issues. I, for one, would have mistaken it for Thee-uh, the nickname of Theodora.

Re: Do you know of any similar names?

I would use Evie as a nickname for Evelyn. Or for Eve.
I like the name Anthea. Then I would call her Thay-ah for short.
    Other ideas for girls:
    Ivy
    Edie (short for Edith)
    Daisy (short for Margaret)
Milly (short for Millicent or Camilla)
    Tillie (short for Matilda)
I think it's good these days to give a daughter a name that is formal and then you can call her a nickname of that name. You never know what job she will end up having. If she ends up being a judge or a school principal, she will appreciate having a formal name on the little sign on her office door! I know because I was the president of a small company for several years. I appreciated my name Susan Chesney on my door, not Susie Chesney.

    For boys:
    Noah
    Clayton nn Clay
    Edwin
    Milo
    Theo
    Finnian nn Finn
    Kai
    Isaac nn Ike
Nicholas nn Cole or just Cole would be fine

Why not spell Thea differently? Taya and Tea are options.
