If I had a little white poodle, I'd consider: Polly, Bianca, Lola (Ha! it's my nickname!) or possible Fiona (just seems poodle-ish to me).

I would definitely avoid the stereotypical Fifi/Lulu/Mimi things, though! They're expected and I hate doing what's expected! :D

    girls
    love Lola's ideas, plus:
    Colette
Cosette -I couldn't help it. I would nickname her Coco if I named her Colette or Cosette.
Fanny -Sassy! Actually Sassy would be a cute name, too.
    Frankie -sounds kind of French.
    Francine nn Francie
    Sammie
    Tilly, short for Matilda
    Eloise nn Ellie
    Josephine nn Josie or Posey
    Stella
    Pearl nn Pearlie -so pretty!
Luna -a very popular pet name, I think. So maybe you don't want to use it.
Skipper -what I might name my next pet.
    Sailor
    Dorothy nn Dottie
    Yaya -see note below
Roxanne nn Roxie -my dog's name. Very popular name for pets in California. I didn't know that when we named her.
Ginger -I love this name, but some people like my husband don't like it.
    Harriet nn Hattie. Very cute!
    Yvette nn Evie
Pixie -I really love this. Hate to admit it, but I also love Trixie! Kind of trite, huh? But trite can be cool if it's trite from the '50's.
Of all these I think I might pick Dottie or Hattie!

    boys
    Beau
    Theo
    Quincy
    Remy
Ace -great name if he's a little tuffy.
    Tex -Ditto, another tuffy name.
    Ike -ditto nn Ikie
    Rex -ditto
Dewey! -This is my nickname for my kitty Moses nn Mosie and Mokie. I love Dewey so much! I also call him Yaya and Baby.
Yaya -is so fun to say!
Jin Jin -Jeanie's dog in "I Dream of Jeanie" He was a little monster!
Tuffy -my husband loves this name for little dogs.
    Monty
    Rollo
    Rolo -like the candy.
Puffy -I think this is funny! Puff Daddy.
Moby-so ironic, a white poodle named after a white whale!
    Dover, the white cliffs of...
    Pietro -a little circus poodle.
I'd pick Quincy or Moby, I think. Rolo and Rollo are so much fun and could be nicknames for Roland.
Can you tell I love to name pets?

my parents have a poodle mix named Posey, at first we thought she was a boy and her name was Mac. If I got a white poodle I'd name it Pepper... i like irony!

That's really cute! I love poodles. I have two rhinestone poodle brooches and sometimes I wear them both at the same time. The reason I have two is I thought I lost one so I ordered the other off of Ebay. Then I found the one that was missing.

I thought of three more poodle names:
    Zsa Zsa (girl) elegant!
    Louie (boy) royal...
Curly (unisex) -I think Curly is a really fun name for a poodle!

Lyndsey, I love the Pepper idea! :-) I love to find humor in doggy names, too. I think it's great, for example, how David Letterman's dogs were named Stan and Bob.

I love to give quirky or nerdy names to dogs, as I find it so endearing and unexpected.

    Nigel
    Willard
    Wendell
    Norbert
    Sherman
    Stanley
    Lawrence
    Linus

    Posey
    Florence
    Myrtle
    Millicent
    Ramona
    Talllulah
    Winifred
