Trans Man In Need of New Name

So I am transitioning FtM (female-to-male) and am two weeks into HRT. I want to file to have my name changed soon, but today I realized I would regret it forever if I didn't name myself after my deceased grandfather, who raised me. However, I'm not really feeling the flow of Micah Frederick. So maybe you could suggest something better that goes with the middle name Frederick?

Some other names I like are Sage, Milo, Maxwell, Peter, Perrin, Parker, Carter, Benjamin, Owen, Dexter, Webster, Zack, and Harrison. In case, you haven't noticed I am a HUGE Peter Parker (Spiderman) fan and overall comic book nerd. Major bonus points awarded to anyone who can come up with a name that stems from comic book history. Don't worry. I love both Marvel and DC, and also the Ninja Turtles and the only reason I'm not naming myself Raphael is because I'm tired of people asking me if I'm Latinx (I'm not but my deadname is).

Thank you in advance to anyone who took the time to read this and for responding.

Frederick makes a fantastic middle name and I think the nod to your grandfather is so sweet!

I also love Marvel and Peter Parker but I’m afraid I don’t know much about the comic books, only the movies. That being said, I think both Peter and Parker flow really well with Frederick. I think they give off much different vibes though so I don’t know what you’re going for or what best fits your personality. Peter Frederick sounds a bit nerdy, buttoned down, and sweet but a little shy. Parker Frederick gives me a more outgoing vibe and also feels sportier. I think both are very handsome!

Also from your list, I’m intrigued by Perrin. I’ve never heard it before but it’s simple and soft yet strong. It reminds me of Peregrine, which is another favorite of mine.

In terms of suggestions, if we’re on the subject of Spider-Man, I have to suggest Miles (as in Miles Morales). I think Miles Frederick has a great flow and Miles reminds me of both Milo and Micah.

I hope this helps and good luck with your transition!

Also what if you make your middle name Micah? Would that work better with your choices or are you firm on Frederick?

I agree with previous poster...Peter and Parker both sound great with Frederick. I also love the suggestion of Miles. Miles Frederick feels somewhere in between buttoned up Peter and the sportier Parker.
    Good luck!

I think Micah Frederick sounds really nice, actually. I also absolutely love the idea of naming yourself after your grandfather, what a lovely gesture to honor someone I'm sure shaped the image of the kind of man you want to be yourself. In terms of your other options, I think Miles Frederick and Peter Frederick are both lovely choices as well. Good luck with your transition!

I second Miles Frederick. The name has a great cadence and flow with Frederick because it is one syllable. Another name you might consider is Piers, a form of Peter....or use Pierson as your formal name and go by the shortened version, Piers. Good luck with your decision.
