Poll: Help deciding a name for our girl

    Hi there!

My husband and I are expecting a little girl in April and would appreciate your help in choosing a name.

Here is our list of baby names so far, please help to narrow down"

Yohana (Johanna) – Hebrew for “God is gracious”

    Adeline - meaning “noble”

    Iren (Irene) - meaning “peace”

Carine (Karina or Carina) - meaning “beloved”

Lora (Laura) - from the laurel tree or sweet bay tree, symbolic of honor and victory.

We are also open to other suggestions. We like pretty classic Slavic names with cute nicknames, yet unique names.
Thank you so much for your help

All of these are beautiful and familiar choices, without being overused.

My favourite might be Carine, due to the soft sound and beautiful meaning. My least favourite is Yohana, as it doesnt feel as delicate as your other choices to me.

Iren/Irene is my favourite, followed by Yohana.

My favourite pretty, classic Slavic name is Tatiana.

Before we knew whether we were having a boy or a girl there were lots of names that we loved, but now that we seriously have to choose one for our girl ...it's very difficult.
Is it possible to pick the perfect name… that you won't regret later..

I think you have great options! If you're feeling unsure you can always wait until she is born to see what feels right.

I have four children and to be honest for two of them I questioned my choices for different reasons. My second two I put a lot of thought into it and I.feel they have the perfect name. The difference now that I look back on it was that I wasn't 100%.Having said that my two that I second guessed made their names perfect for them.Does that make sense?

Thank you! Currently I feel that we will be happy with any choice on the list.

I quess after that precious baby comes, you’ll find that suddenly adore a name you even hated when it was merely a suggestion or option — now that it belongs to the loved little human, so kind of make it perfect

I find very helpful the yell test (yelling the names loudly, so Ican hear how they might sound when I need to call to my child from a distance..) and calling cute nicknames for every name fromthe list.

Its very important to me the name to come with cute nickname to call my baby etc. Carine / Karina - Carrie / Kari
