    Hi there.

I think with Rosa you could do a Hispanic-y sounding sibling or a vintage sounding sibling.

Here are my thoughts on your list:

Rosa & Shirley-This is certainly a name that you don't see very often anymore. I'm not sure I love it, but it's certainly different & does work well w/Rosa.

Rosa & Maisie-Maisie is adorable, but kind of better as a nn in my opinion. Margaret, Mary, Madeleine or Maureen nn Maisie? Margaret seems to be the best fit w/Rosa.

Rosa & Lucy (too popular?)-Lucy is pretty popular, but a sweet name. I also really like Lucia, Luciana, Lucille or Lucienne nn Lucy.

Rosa & Frances-Hm. I really like Frances for a girl, but for some reason I'd assume this were a sister/brother combo. I like Rosa & Francis for siblings. Maybe Francesca?

Rosa & June or Juno-Ooh, those are both pretty. Or you could do Junia nn June or Juno.

Rosa & Mabel-This is sweet. Vintage & kind sounding. Not as bold & exotic as Rosa, but I don't think that it doesn't fit.

    Girl suggestions-

    Anita

    Antonia

    Anna

    Beatriz

    Clara

    Dahlia

    Elena

    Flora

    Georgina

    Isolde

    Lola

    Pearl

    Sylvia

    Thea...or maybe Althea/Theodora nn Thea?

    Boy suggestions-

    Arthur

    Albert

    Adrian

    Dominic

    Diego

    Edgar

    Gabriel

    Gilbert

    Ivan

    Jerome

    Nico

    Vincent

    Hope this helps.

@sunday_cami I agree about Shirley! I think it is soft & sweet, and definitely ready to come back. I also like the suggestion of Adaline.

@magnoliae I’ve never really considered Estelle but as I say it, I like the way it sounds with Rosa, and also the nn Elle (and Belle!)

@sarah1800 Yes, it has been a challenge finding Hispanic girl names that work with Rosa and don’t end in -a! I love suggestions Adele and Simone!

@prairiekeeper Love Luisa, although I prefer Louisa spelling. I also really like Julia and other Ju- names with Rosa, but I wonder if it sounds too Romeo & Juliet?

Thank you all for your input!

@michellem Thanks for your thoughts on my ideas. I adore Lucille, Adrian, Ivan and Vincent. The latter two have already been vetoed but I should ask about the others

@a282 I have always thought Penelope would sound great with Rosa. I also really like Teo and Hugo.

@elenajeanine think Valentina is super cute but can’t help thinking it’s too “sweet” with Rosa. I love the suggestion of Ari for a boy.
