    Names you dislike

What are some names that you dislike?
Mine are Tanner and Tyler cause I think Tyler is overused and Tanner just doesn't sound nice to me. And for girls it would have to be Dylan. Not to say that I don't like people with these names, though or parents who name their children these names.

Hmm... I tend to not like old fashioned names I think. I love vintage names like Hazel and Florence, but I dislike names that I can clearly associate with older generations e.g. Dolores, Bernice, Edith, Agnes, Walter, Frank etc.

I'm also not a fan of overly common names for girls; Emma, Olivia, Emily, Rose, Isabella, Sophia, Amelia, etc.

I generally don't like overly macho names for boys, especially when they're associated with violence e.g. Hunter, Gunner, Blade, etc.

The names I dislike the most tend to be the sort of 'new' ones that parents put together themselves, I think they tend to sound quite trashy and never as good as names more firmly established in the name canon. I mean names like 'Lakynn' or 'Ainslee'. I also generally dislike when people name their kids after alcohols, but I think that's a pretty obvious one to most people.

    Isa (Ee-sa) Mika'il ~ Sufian Iskandar ~ Idris Haroun ~ Ilias Mahdi (Ill-e-yas)

Noora Yasmina ~ Hira Imani ~ Lana Safiya ~ Isra Sakina

    Adam (Ah-dum) | Haris (Hah-ris) | Musa | Nail (Nile) | Younus | Yusuf

    Aalia | Anah | Inara | Nahla | Saffah | Safina | Sana | Tziporah

Most of these are Arabic/Muslim names.

Ottilie. I think this name sounds ridiculous.

Fern, Olive, Maeve, Sage - I'm not one for overly pretty names but I think these are just ugly.

Girl names that are boy names with 'ine' at the end.

Any names that end in Leigh or Lynn.
    Like Everly/Everleigh or Ashlynn ughhhhh

I also HATE country names and I don't know why they are trendy now. (Hunter, Wilder, Brookson)
I feel like those names, many times made up just sound overly masculine for so reason and aren't wearable.

I also really dislike when people use names from other languages (especially Hebrew names) and can't pronounce them (or names in which the original pronunciation is lost due to (usually English) speakers collectively pronouncing those names incorrectly.) pet peeve.

Any name with a "yooneek" spelling of a normal name, for example Myckenzeigh or Kaytlinn (seriously, I used to know girls with both of these spelling. I also don't like made-up sounding hybrid names, ex: I know a little girl named Mayceelynne...it just looks long and clunky imo. I've also never been a fan of names with an -ee or -eigh ending, they just feel so extra to me, lol.

Also, people who use the name "Baby"...for their baby. There's this teen mom on Youtube who has a daughter named Babiee (yes, that spelling). It just seems ridiculous, because, like...Babiee won't be a baby forever. And the spelling is not good, lol.

Maddox, Jax, Lennon, Knox, Bodhi, Everleigh, Ryker, Lennox, Harlow, Harper, Delaney, Railee, and misspelled or made-up Mc/Mac names.

Anything similar to those names, I probably dislike. They're very annoying. I apologize to anyone who loves these names or has used them.

Destroying/disregarding the cultural origin of a name is an eye-roller. Or a name that feels vapid.

Some of these are popular on Nameberry (sorry!) but I dislike:

    Juniper
    Romilly
    Ottilie
    Olive
    Sebastian
Animal names like Bear, Fox or Wolf

They seem like hipster names to me.

Before I start, I just want to let everyone know I do not judge a person based on their names, and please do not do that!

Tanner-erm, just doesn't sound right. I don't care for it.
    Kim-not my style
Sasha- I don't hate it, but it is not in my favorites
    Tyler-OVERUSED
Those "popular" names (ex. AshLEIGH, BRINLEY, KENNEDY,)
Madison for a girl- Really? SON not daughter???
