    Question Nature names

Hey! First time posting here. We are expecting another little girl in just over a month. My DH LOOOOVES Matilda and I am obsessed with nature names like River, Snow, Daisy, Rose, Phoenix etc. The problem is, our last name is Woods. Are there any nature names that won't sound silly with our surname?? TIA

Also, if it helps, DD, 10 is Alexis May, DS (born sleeping) is Arlo Thomas John.

I think a nature name that feels 'namey' or established as a name could work. Equally a nature name that is more subtle. Rose and Daisy work imo

    Some others:

    Poppy Woods
    Iris Woods
    Acacia Woods
    Calla Woods
    Tansy Woods
    Flora Woods
    Lily Woods
    Viola Woods
    Clementine Woods
    Eira Woods (means snow)
    Seren Woods/Stella Woods (means star)
    Magnolia Woods
    Grace
    Sarai Matilda|Cherith Eliza|Sholto Felix|Tristan Rafferty
    Stormy weather...
    Atiyah Yasmin|Brendan Silas|Ciara Lucia|Dennis Bodhi

    Hugh Alastair|Iris Emilia |Jan Tao|Kitty Eleanora
    Liam Jasper|Maura Lillian|Noah Franklin
    Olivia Bronwen|Piet Abraham|Samir Ayman

Maybe use Matilda as a first name (if you're not opposed to it) and then a nature name as a middle name? I think if you use a nature name as a middle name you won't run into as much trouble with it sounding silly with Woods.

    Some suggestions:

    Matilda Autumn
    Matilda Aspen
    Matilda Rose
    Matilda Iris
    Matilda River
    Matilda Clover
    Considering:

Charlotte Isabella | Evelyn Rose | Esther Charlotte | Esther Rose | Evelyn Charlotte

Benjamin Joseph | Daniel Joseph | Daniel Thomas | Joshua Thomas

I think a nature name could work with your last name if you avoid the name of trees or something that could describe a forest. For example “Willow Woods” sounds more like a place than a person while “Lily Woods” is more recognizable as a name. Or use the nature name as a middle.
