Is Effie a realistic nickname for Serafina?

Pretty much the title really. Would it work irl?

I mean, it certainly works, but it’s not going to be people’s go-to shortened version of Serafina. I think if you use it in front of people somewhat frequently, or always, they’ll use it too.

Yes! I can definitely see this working if you call her that often and she adopts it herself. But I also think in professional settings it's realistic to expect that she will be called Sera sometimes, too, since it's the most intuitive way to shorten the name.

I think it works perfectly fine. People might not instinctively use it, but it makes sense and people should use it if you say that's the nickname

Definitely! Especially if you plan on using it, say, 30-40% of the time. I think if others are used to hearing her called Effie, it will feel totally natural.

Definitely works, especially if you use it some right out of the gate.
