    Renaming "Chase"

I'm working on a YA/romance novel with a MC named Chase. Every time I write it, I hate it, so I need to rename him.

He's 17/18, high school senior. He plays basketball and is from a middle-class family.

I'm looking for a common but not trendy name.

Is this story set in 2019-ish? Assuming so, I went back to the top baby names in 2002 to find some common names that have a similar vibe to Chase:

    Carter
    Cole
    Connor
    Dylan
    Jack
    Shane
    Shawn
    Tyler
    Wesley "Wes"
