    We're having a girl!

I'd been struggling over boys' names for quite some time but as it turns out as of yesterday my husband and I found we are having a girl.

We are almost set on the name Nina Rae

Rae is a diminutive of my mother, Ranae's (pronounced rainy) name.

I am curious what people think of the name Nina and what type of images the name conjures before we totally commit.

    Thanks!

I've never met anyone called Nina before. It's cute and makes me think of a little girl who loves being outside. Always smiling and is very out going. It's shorts and sweet and it will age well with her.

I like Nina. It's a name that's familiar to everyone, but at the same time it's not popular, nor does it sound dated. To me it has a sweet, feminine sound.

I really like Nina! It's light and lively - outdoorsy and cheeky but also with the potential to feel studious and quiet too

Nina is a magnificent name! I love it! I can imagine a sweet and talented little girl but also a beautiful courageous and independent woman. I always associate this name to someone that loves to dance, sing and/or play.
Nina Rae is a cute name! Nina Raine and Nina Reign would be adorable too.
