I say veer-uh. I’ve only heard it pronounce vair-uh on NB, not in real life, though I’m sure it depends on where you live. I’d say in the US, the more common one is veer-uh.

I'm in Australia and have only ever heard it pronounced Veer-ah. Where do people pronounce it Vair-ah?

    Both pronunciations are valid!
I know Greek, Swedish, Russian and Italian people who say vair-ah, though most people in the US/UK/Canada/Australia/Ireland say veer-ah. It's probably because E makes an "eh" sound instead of an "ee" sound in most languages that aren't English.

I didn't vote, since both pronunciations can be correct. I originally would say VEER-ruh, which is how I've generally heard it in the US. However, I have heard the VAIR-uh pronunciation and prefer it. I now tend to say VAIR-uh when I see the name. I'm an American living in continental Europe, if that helps.

I've only ever heard it pronounced VEER-ah, although I believe both pronunciations are correct, in different parts of the world (I live in the UK).

In the UK, the only pronunciation I have heard used is VEER-ah.

In European countries, I believe it's pronounced closer to VAIR-ah. Personally, I prefer this pronunciation. It sounds softer to me than VEER-ah.

I said Veer-ah, as that's how my grandmother pronounces it, and she is the only person I know with that name.
