    Specific Name Requirements!

Looking for classic girl names with a whimsical, spunky, or even western feel. Needs to be one or two syllables and ending with an a or n. Thanks! I’m struggling.

Matilda popped into my mind immediately. Others’ suggestions, like Clara, Magnolia and Arden, are great too.

Love but can’t use due to friends/family:

    Clara
    Cora
    Nora

Love but wouldn’t use bc our last name has a strong “la” sound:

    Willa
    Stella
    Lila

Love Wren and Quinn but am not sure they have enough history behind them for me personally to use.

Love love Matilda! But too long with a long last name.

Love and will consider: Marin, Thea, and Arden.

Is Gwen ok to stand on its own? Or people always assume she’s a Gwendolen? I love Gwendolen but it’s a mouthful with our last name.

Does Tessa sound trendy to you?

I love Gwen too. People claim it can stand on its own but I prefer it as a nickname. I also like Gwendolen as the best full name, but my husband hates it so we’ve agreed on Gwyneth. I hear Gwenna is a name that people have considered as well which would fit your parameters.

I don’t find Tessa trendy and I love the nickname Tess. I love it paired with something vintage and earthy like Marigold.

    More suggestions:
    Vada
    Leta
    Gemma
    Greta
    Vera
    Petra
    Fern
    Joan
