    Amelia vs. Emilia

Which do you prefer? Do you pronounce them both the same?

Emilia is one of the top names if baby is a girl, but I don't know if Amelia would be easier...

I prefer Emilia! I do pronounce them slightly different and prefer Emilia both stylistically and pronunciation-wise.

I prefer Emilia! And I pronounce them slightly different - Em vs more of an Uh sound for Amelia

I like Emilia more as far as sound and looks go, but I think you will probably have to clarify the spelling sometimes, especially if you pronounce them the same. I don't necessarily think that should deter you from Emilia, though, as it should be simple enough to deal with and Emilia is getting more common.

While both are pronounced roughly the same in my neck of the woods, I've always been partial to Amelia. That being said I think that Emilia has a better meaning.

I pronounce Emelia em-mee-lee-uh, with the emphasis on the first syllable. Amelia I pronounce uh-mee-lee-uh, with more of an emphasis on the second syllable. However, both names can probably be pronounced both ways.
Amelia is probably the go-to spelling for most people, but Emilia has been growing on me recently. It looks a little more stylish

I pronounce them slightly differently - Eh-mil-ee-yuh versus Uh-mee-lee-yuh. I adore Amelia but don't really care for Emilia. This is nothing more than personal taste; Emilia is fine, it's just not at all for me.

I like Amelia the most as I prefer it's aesthetics; though prefer Amalia over the both of them (even though Amelia is still beautiful). I pronounce Emilia with a bit more of an 'e' sound, like "eh-mee-lee-uh".
