I would say so. If you were to call one of the names through the house, I don't think it would be clear which one you were talking to.

When I say them out loud they are very clearly two different names. To the horror of name enthusiasts; my mom, brother, and I were/are Jane, John, and Jean. We very clearly knew what name was being called...even though the world would shake if someone stated they were considering these names on a baby name forum. Plenty of families in real life use names with the same or similar sounds in them.

Visually they are very different it however when I say them out loud (in my accent) they are very similar, but it really depends if that bothers you, I don’t think they would get mixed up as the starting sounds are different it’s just that they rhyme (to me at least) also another thing to consider is if you would use nicknames for one or both names as that could completely change it.

    In my opinion, yes.

    May I suggest …

    Agatha {and} Ursula

Iove both of these names but I do think they are too similar for sisters.
